Ok - So, it's probably nothing like China. But, I'm writing this blog, so you can't win this argument.
China it is. ;)
This year Trinity and Hillcrest have moved the family camp to China! (not really!) For my first year in China Family Camp all has gone well, if a bit wet. When the "Disciple 12" arrived home last Saturday, it was apparently at the end of a brutally hot heat wave. I myself sure didn't know why everyone was complaining so much... sure.. it was 100 degrees or more.. but.. It was a dry heat.
On Monday afternoon the clouds rolled in and threatened rain. Dad and I decided to wait and maybe bring the bikes out later if the weather cleared up. We (Dad & I) finally showed up sometime around 5-6pm Monday. There was a general welcoming and happy attitude that seemed to permeate the air. Families were gathering and fellowshipping. Soon it was time for dinner. The "Girls Crew" did a great job and were wonderful servers.
After dinner the girls cleared the tables and the Boys Crew did the dishes.
After the lecture ended everyone hung around for some great fellowship. Melinda and Annalise had found each other and so too had many other friends.
Soon after the lecture desert was served. This evening desert was Chocolate pudding.
At 10 PM it was lights out. My sister chose not to stay with her Segoy older brother and instead ditched the family for Miss K. So, upstairs above the kitchen it was just me and my parents.
